My stay at the Monarch Resort was a delightful experience immersed in nature with exceptional service. The staff treated us like family, and the atmosphere was peaceful and calming. However, the food options were somewhat repetitive, especially for breakfast, and the dining setup could benefit from more choices. Overall, I appreciated the tranquility and connection to wildlife, but it would be ideal if they refreshed the menu more frequently.

We had an amazing time at this resort which offers great value for money. The staff made us feel like family, and the tours we booked were fantastic. However, the experience was slightly marred by the poor condition of some rooms and a beach that wasn't up to par. Overall, it's a wonderful place to connect with locals and experience Costa Rica.

Staying at the Monarch was a delightful experience overall. The modern villa provided beautiful views of Papagayo Bay and was immersed in nature, offering a peaceful atmosphere. While the staff were friendly and the location was serene, the dining experience fell short due to the all-inclusive fee not covering all meal options, making it a bit frustrating. Additionally, the remote location made it challenging to explore nearby attractions, which was a downside for travel enthusiasts.

The food was decent, but the limited menu for the all-inclusive fee was disappointing. Drinks were not included either.
Facilities

The landscaped grounds were beautiful and the private beach was enjoyable, although the resort was transitioning from a condo development.

Monarch offers great value for money, tucked away in a dry forest and surrounded by nature. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, ideal for families. While the beach leaves much to be desired and the dining options could improve, the pool is a wonderful alternative and the staff is genuinely warm and welcoming.
